Robert L. Breuer
Robert L. Breuer, 59, of 2208 West Ave., died at 10:17 a.m. Monday, April 15, at Burlington Medical Center.
He was born April 18, 1925, in Burlington to Aaron E. and Evelyn R. Nelson Breuer. He married Nelda Fletcher on June 13, 1964, at Burlington; she died June 16, 1970. He married Marjorie Manley on July 17, 1976, in Burlington.
Mr. Breuer retired from Iowa Industries in 1982. He was organizing president of United Auto Workers Local 1237. He was a veteran of naval service during World War II and a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 150.
Surviving: His wife; a son, Wade Breuer, Oakville; two daughters, Mrs. Sally Six, Dallas City, Ill., and Teri Breuer, Aurora, Ore.; three stepdaughters, Sandra Mumm, Teresa Manley and Beverly Hill, all of Burlington; a stepson, Randall Manley, Joliet, Ill.; four grandchildren and several step-grandchildren; three brothers, Jack, New London, Richard, Burlington, and James, West Burlington; two sisters, Mrs. Joyce Pryor, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Shirley Lewis, Crystal Lake, Ill.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Lunning Chapel, Dr. Robert Buhr; Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Kidney Foundation.
