Stephen Charles Roscum, 52, of Burlington, died at 1:52 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2003, in rural Burlington.
Born January 17, 1951, in Burlington, he was the son of Charles and Bonnie Jean Bryant Roscum. He married Deborah D. Miller June 7, 1972, in Burlington.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Roscum was a life insurance agent and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, reading and traveling.
He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Chad Roscum of Burlington; three daughters, Jessica Roscum of Burlington, Abigail Roscum of Des Moines, and Rebecca Roscum of Burlington; his father, of Burlington; two brothers, Dennis Roscum of Burlington, and David Roscum of Ellicott, Maryland; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
The funeral for Mr. Roscum will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Trevor Davis officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with military rites conducted by VFW Posts 10102 & 9162, American Legion Post 52 and the Marine Corps League.
