John William Rollins, 53, of Burlington, died at 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at his home. Born November 25, 1956, in Burlington, he was the son of William M. and Marian Palmer Rollins, Jr. On August 19, 1989, he married Shawn Adams in San Diego. Mr. Rollins worked as an electronic programmer, and repaired and restored computers. He served in the Navy. He volunteered delivering medical supplies with First Medical. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed radio-controlled airplanes, snowmobiling, and doing computer work. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mason Rollins and Brandon Rollins, both of Burlington; one daughter, Michelle Lamb of Phoenix, Ariz.; his mother, Marian Chamberlain of Burlington; two grandchildren; two brothers, James Rollins and Joseph Rollins, both of Burlington; and two sisters, Lisa Rollins of Illinois and Jeanette Rollins of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his father. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. The body has been cremated. The memorial service for Mr. Rollins will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Langner officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
