Dorothy Louise Roden, 96, of Burlington, died at Burlington Care Center, Burlington, Iowa, on Tuesday morning, July 10, 2012. Born on November 19, 1915 in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of August J. and Margaret J. Brooks Roden. Dorothy attended Burlington Jr. College in 1941. She worked at Sickels Dry Cleaners until she left her employment to care for her sick mother. Dorothy loved traveling and she was an avid reader. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Burlington, Iowa. She is survived by a nephew, David Roden of Saint Paul, Minnesota and a niece, Linda Rosaasen of Moorhead, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. Private graveside services for Dorothy Louise Roden will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Aspen Grove Cemetery. Pastor Trevor Davis will officiate.
