Mrs. Geraldine M. Roasa, 94, of Burlington died at 6:28 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at Bickford Cottage.
Born March 22, 1922 in Breckenridge, Minnesota she was the daughter of F. Robert and Rose (Walior) Allendorf. In May of 1942 she married Merle Mauer in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1965. In July of 1966 she married William Roasa. He also preceded her in death on January 5, 1972. In January of 1985 she married Dennis Boyle in Burlington.
Mrs. Roasa was a 1939 graduate of Hibbing High School in Hibbing, Minnesota. She worked in production at Ross Manufacturing and retired from Exide Technologies in 1987.
Mrs. Roasa was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed taking care of her great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Boyle of Burlington; one daughter, Jackie Nelson of Burlington; two grandchildren, Stacey (Mike) Meyer and Lynnie (Scott) Krogmeier both of Burlington; two great grandchildren, Blake Nelson and Kennedy Krogmeier both of Burlington; two great-great grandsons, Noah Nelson and Hunter Smith-Nelson; and one brother, Donald Allendorf of Bakersfield, California.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, parents, two brothers and her son-in-law, Jerry Nelson.
Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday, April 21st, at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday, April 22nd, at Lunning Chapel.
The graveside funeral service and interment for Mrs. Roasa will be 11:15 a.m. Friday, April 22nd, in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Father David Steinle will officiate.
A memorial has been established for St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
