Orville Martin Richardson, 81, of Burlington and formerly of the Quad Cities area, died at 6:35 a.m. Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born November 9, 1927, in Burlington, he was the son of Orville S. and Anna Zart Richardson. He married Lorena Anderson in 1961. She preceded him in death in 1987. Mr. Richardson was a 1946 graduate of Burlington High School, a graduate of Burlington Junior College and a 1951 graduate of Drake University, receiving a Pharmacist's Degree. Mr. Richardson was a Korean War army veteran. He was a pharmacist for several drug stores over the years, including Sutter's Drug Store in Burlington. He was a member of Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, studying and learning more about medicine, and being with his family. Survivors include one brother, David Richardson of Loveland, Ohio; one sister, Darlene Broeker of West Burlington; and several nieces and nephews. His wife and parents preceded him in death.
