Alyiah Dawn Rice, was stillborn Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Fort Madison Community Hospital in Fort Madison. She was the daughter of Claude Rice Jr. and Angela C. Corley. Survivors include her parents of Fort Madison; two brothers, Dante Rice and Brandon Straw; four sisters, Jennifer Straw, Dawn Straw, Anika Tonnies and Raven Hensley; maternal grandparents, Jim and Judy Cross of Trenton, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Claude Sr. and Anita Rice of Fort Madison; maternal grandparents, Gregg and Carol Corley of Burlington; maternal great-grandmother, Judith Corley of Burlington; maternal great-grandmother, Doris Rauch of Mediapolis; paternal great-grandparents, Alice and Charlie Rice of Decatur, Ill.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents. Visitation with family will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Alyiah will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington, with the Rev. David Lee officiating.
