Ruth Reyes, 81, of Fort Madison, died at 11:20 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2007, at her home. Born April 23, 1925, in Jefferson County, she was the daughter of William and Stacy Norton Bain. On March 2, 1944, she married Andy Reyes in Fort Madison. Mrs. Reyes was a homemaker. She worked at Sheaffer Pen. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed nature and bird watching. Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Kimberly Rumbough of Piano, Texas; one grandson; three sisters, Helen Abbott of Des Moines, Pearl Kuisle of Mediapolis, and Margaret Arnold of West Burlington; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, with family meeting friends from 3 to 5 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Reyes will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Troy Richmond officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established for the P.A.W. Animal Shelter or Old Settlers Park.
