Odett Evelyn Reger, 81, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, May 8, 2010. Born November 9, 1928, in Burlington, she was the daughter of George Wichhart and Flora Margaret Hofmann Stoermer. On December 23, 1950, she married Thomas E. Reger in Burlington. Mrs. Reger and her husband were both born at Burlington Hospital the same week in November 1928, and were best friends since seventh grade. She was a graduate of University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. Her hobby was duplicate bridge. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Michael Reger of Dallas and Scott Reger of Apple Valley, Minn.; one sister, Marilyn Huth of Burlington; two brothers, Richard Stoermer of Burlington and Larry Stoermer of Danville; one grandson; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. The funeral for Mrs. Reger will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Dallas. A graveside service will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established for American Cancer Society.
