Mrs. E. Lucille Ravenscroft, 96, of Burlington died at 2:35 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2015, at Rosewood Health Care Center in Moline, Illinois.
Born January 5, 1919 in Media Township near Stronghurst, Illinois she was the daughter of Lewis M. and Nora (Mink) Miller. On May 25, 1963 she married James Franklin Ravenscroft in Burlington. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1990.
Mrs. Ravenscroft attended Stronghurst schools. She was a resident of Burlington for over 50 years. She worked for National Research, was a production specialist in quality control for 16 years at Sylvania Electronics and also worked for Lynn Bakery. She retired in 1969.
Mrs. Ravenscroft was a member of First Church of the Nazarene and was also a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her son, Gary L. (Clarice) Wagler of Colona, Illinois; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one sister, Edith M. Dowell of Lomax, Illinois.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
The funeral service for Mrs. Ravenscroft will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4th, at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Terry Vance officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
A memorial has been established for First Church of the Nazarene.
