James Michael Putnam, 55, Burlington, died Monday, December 10, 2007, at Great River Medical Center. Born August 14, 1952, in Burlington, he was the son of Virginia B. and Leroy E. Putnam. Mr. Putnam worked for Auto Body Co. as the parts and office manager. He was a 1970 graduate of Burlington High School and attended two years of college. Years ago, he was employed at a television station owned by Steve Hoth. He was a race car driver and had competed in the Formula SCCA Racing Division. *
