Shawn Magella Ahrold, 13, of 721 N. Fourth St. died in Mercy hospital at 5 a.m. Thursday. She had been ill since birth.
The daughter of Robert W. and Marianne Prugh Ahrold, Miss Ahrold was born Jan. 6, 1953, in Burlington.
Surviving: The parents; brothers Robert and Jon and sister Jill, all at home, and grandparents Norval Prugh of Burlington and Mrs. George Ahrold of Des Moines.
Services: St. Paul church Saturday at nine, Fr. James Quinlan, Aspen Grove cemetery. Rosary: Prugh Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday. A memorial fund has been established for the pediatrics ward of Mercy hospital.
