Scott Craig Price, 54, of Burlington, died at 8:35 a.m. Monday, August 11, 2008, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born Wednesday, December 2, 1953, in Burlington, he was the son of Collin Keith and Bertha L. Larkins Price. Scott was the vocalist and lead guitarist for his band, Impulse. He also worked for Vista Bakery. He was a 1972 graduate of Burlington High School. He was an avid golfer and loved wrestling. He was an avid New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers, Green Bay Packers, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. He enjoyed watching all sports and loved music. Survivors include his parents, Keith and Bertha Price of Burlington; one sister, Susan Kay (Mike Hamilton) Price of Des Moines, Iowa; and his very special friend, Judy Kaltefleiter of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles, and two aunts. Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., with the family to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, at the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home. The funeral service for Mr. Price will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2008, at the Chapel of the Hass-Thielen Funeral Home, with Chaplain Randy Gearhart officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice House and the American Cancer Society.
