Leona Martin Bell, 90, Burlington Care Center, died at 10:20 am Wednesday, Aug. 9, 1995, at the care center.
Born May 17, 1905, in Burlington, she was the daughter of William J. and Mary Hertel Martin. She married Frank E. Bell, Jr. on Nov. 8, 1920, in Hanibal, Mo. He died on Dec. 19, 1986.
Mrs. Bell was a housewife.
She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Moose, and the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Paul E. Bell of Burlington; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 pm Monday, Aug. 21, in Prugh’s Chapel, with a wake service at 7 pm.
Graveside committal services for Mrs. Bell will be at 11 am Tuesday, Aug. 22, in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. John Hyland officiating.
A memorial has been established for the Burlington Area Catholic Schools building fund and Burlington Care Center.
