Obituary
Harry John Bell, 69, of 3135 36th Avenue, Rock Island, Ill., a former Burlington resident, died Tuesday, Feb 18, at his home. He was an Army contract and logistics specialist retiring in 1977.
He was born to Abraham and Louise Frick Bell in Burlington on Aug. 22, 1914. He lived here until 1953 when he moved to Rock Island.
He married Dorothy Jane Hallberg in 1941 in Burlington; she died Oct. 14, 1985.
Surviving are three sons, David, and TH Bell, both of Rock Island, and Steven, New Orleans, La.; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
A Masonic service will be held at 7:30 pm Friday at Knox-Lason Funeral home, 2106 Seventh Ave., Rock Island.
Funeral services for Mr. Bell will be at 12:30 pm Saturday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington.
