Marilyn "Lynn" J. Pohlpeter, 61, died at 2:12 a.m. Friday, January 7, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN. Born August 31, 1932, in Moberly, MO, she was the daughter of Lyle W. and Arvilla K. Jackson Barnthouse. On July 13, 1956 she married Raymond John Pohlpeter, Jr. in Burlington, IA. Mrs. Pohlpeter was a Burlington School Bus Driver for 15 years untill 1984. She owned and operated Reliable Bail Bonding and Process Serving Company associated with American Bonding Company. She was affiliated with Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Tomi Lynn Waterstradt of Geensburg, N C, Kelly K. Pohlpeter of East Moline, IL, Amy A. Johnson of Moline, IL; one brother, William Lyle Barnthouse of Columbia, MO; her Maternal Grandmother, Georgia Jackson, of Wertsville, MO; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may call after 9:00 a.m. Sunday, January 9, 1994, at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Services for Mrs. Pohlpeter will be Monday, January 10, 1994, at 1:30 p.m. at Lunning Chapel with the Reverend George Weitzel officiating. A memorial has been established. The body of Mrs. Pohlpeter will be cremated following the services.
