Jeremy James Poggemiller Stout, 17, of Burlington, died at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 1998, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Born January 13, 1981, in Burlington, he was the son of James K. and Sonya Stout Poggemiller. Mr. Stout was an avid outdoorsman and racing fan, and a former Royal Ranger. Survivors include his parents, both of Burlington; his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Betty Johnson of Mount Pleasant; his paternal grandmother, Edna Poggemiller of Burlington; aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Stout will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for funral expenses.
