Ruby Maurice Poffinbarger, 88, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Burlington, died on Thursday, February 8, 2007, in the New Haven Care Center in New Haven, Mo. She was born on February 21,1918, the daughter of Floris and Isabel Seek Bonar. She married Leonard Poffinbarger in Burlington. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Poffinbarger was a homemaker. Survivors include her son, John Poffinbarger, and his wife Sharon, of Union, Mo.; a sister, Eleanor Dramstad of Oelwein, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, brother, Paul Bonar, and special friend. Harry Pohrer, preceded her in death. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 12, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Pastor Don Hornstra will officiate. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials are suggested to the National Humane Society.
