Obituary
A fort Madison native, Kenneth LeRoy Bell, 30, Omaha, Neb., has been fatally injured in a traffic accident in Omaha.
Mr. Bell died Sunday, Oct. 24, in St. Joseph’s hospital there.
He was injured Friday, Oct. 22, when the car he was driving collided with another auto at an Omaha intersection.
Mr. Bell was a salesman for the Pacesetter Co. of Omaha.
Born July 11, 1941, he lived in Fort Madison as a small child before moving with his family to Burlington. He attended Burlington High School.
Navy veteran, he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burlington and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was single.
Survivors include his parents Jim William and Mildred (Millie) Hart Bell, Burlington; five brothers, Daniel Lloyd Bell, Jim W. Bell, Wayne Herman Bell, and Darrell D. Bell, all of Burlington, and Ernest Wayne Bell, who is serving with the Navy in San Diego, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Emil *Janice) Schneider, Ft. Madison, and Jean D. Bell and Susie S. Bell, both of Burlington; maternal grandparent, Mrs. Ruby E. Hart, Ft. Madison’ paternal grandparent, Mrs. Addie B Moore, Ft. Madison RR1; and several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The body is being brought to Giles Funeral Home, Burlington.
Final rites will be at 2:30 pm Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. George S. Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery, Burlington.
Visitation will be at Giles from 7 to 9 this evening.
