Louise Pauline Thye Behne, 91, of Burlington, died December 10, 2007, at Great River Medical Center. Born on April 17, 1916, she was the daughter of Henrich "Henry" and Louise Caroline Berger Thye. On June 29, 1938, she married Theodore J. Behne. He died on October 6, 1993. Mrs. Behne worked at the Mode-O-Day Dress Shop, Sears, Eagles Grocery Store and Hope Haven. She was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church, where she was involved in many church activities. She was very active with volunteer work. She loved gardening and some crafts. Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie J. Wagenbach of rural Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, three sisters and eight brothers. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The funeral for Mrs. Behne will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lunning Chapel with Ministers of the Apostolic Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
