Virginia Harriet Peterson, 91, of Burlington died at 1:15 PM Friday, November 24, 2006 at Burlington Care Center. Born January 20, 1915 near Sawyer, Iowa, she was the daughter of Charles and Fay Benbow Woodroffe. On October 16, 1941 she married Edward Peterson in Hannibal, Missouri. He died December 21, 1985. Mrs. Peterson graduated from Denmark Academy High School in Denmark, Iowa in 1933 and attended the College of Commerce in Burlington, Iowa. She was the order and billing clerk at Northwestern Cabinet Company in Burlington, Iowa for several years and a homemaker Mrs. Peterson was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, ironing and baking cookies. Her husband, parents, one brother, and one sister preceded her in death Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Peterson of Burlington, Iowa, a niece and nephew and grand nieces and nephews.
