James O. Beghtol, 59, of 1307 S. 10th St., died 5:06 pm Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1988, at Burlington Medical Center.
Born Feb. 4, 1929, in Broadhead, Wis., he was the son of James and Florence Dorsey Beghtol. He married Mable Daw Brown on Aug. 12, 1963, in Kahoka, Mo.
He was the owner of the Plaza Pub, Burlington. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are his wife; three brothers, Lee Ray Beghtol, Clarksville, Tenn., William Beghtol, Bowie, Md., and Harvey Beghtol, Severn, Md.; three sisters, Sarah Mellinger, Raritan, Ill., Dorthy Stanelly, North Lauderdale, Fla., and Viola Peters, Simpson, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 pm Friday at Lunning Chapel.
The service for Mr. Beghtol will be 2:30 pm Saturday at Lunning Chapel with the Rev. Tom Jones officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
