Olaf G. Beestrum, 36, of Bremen, Ind., died Monday at Bremen after a short illness.
He was born Nov. 30, 1918, at St. Louis, Mo., and was married to the former Edna Peterson, in Burlington Oct. 9, 1943.
Beestrum was a WWII veteran, a member of the Masonic order in Des Moines and of the Christian Science Church.
The survivors include his wife; a daughter, Stephanie, and a son, Peter, at home; a sister, Marjorie Beestrum, St. Louis, Mo.; and his mother, Mrs. Margarette Beestrum, St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olaf Beestrum, Sr.
The body was brought to Giles Funeral home where funeral arrangements are being completed.
Funeral services for Mr. Olaf G. Beestrum, of Breemen, Ind., who passed away Aug. 1, 1955, will be held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock from Giles Funeral Home, with a Christian Science Reader officiating. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends this evening at the funeral home between 7 and 9 o’clock.
