John J. Perry, 67, of Burlington, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born December 18, 1942, in Fort Madison, he was the son of Clarence R. and Evelyn C. Davis Perry. In 1961, he married Barbara A. Moore in Fort Madison. Mr. Perry worked at Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, retiring in 1996. He graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Christina Lingenfelter of Yarmouth; one son, Jay Perry of Burlington; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Clarence Perry of Mount Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his parents. No visitation or services are planned. The body will be cremated. Private family burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington and announced at a later date. Lunning Chapel in Burlington is in charge of arrangements.
