Lillian I. Pentzel, 85, of Burlington, died 9:45 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at the Great River Medical Center - Klein Center in West Burlington.
Born January 20, 1927 in Jefferson County, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Vernie (Wesley) Feehan. She married James Pentzel on March 16, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska. He died April 16, 1983.
Mrs. Pentzel was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her three children, Mary Lang of New Hartford, IA, Marie (Tom) Waters of Burlington and Darrell (Barb) Pentzel of Winfield; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers, Adolf, Bernard, Vernon, Joseph and Damion and four sisters, Cecelia, Alice, Rosella and Marie.
There will be no formal funeral service or visitation for Mrs. Pentzel.
According to her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel and Burlington Wilbert Crematory. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
