Pauline S. Payton, 83, of Carmel, Ind., died Thursday, July 16, 2009. Bon February 4, 1926, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Paul and Selma Wiemer Schaefer. On February 4, 1949, she married Robert Payton in Burlington. Mrs. Payton had a lifelong love of gardening. Survivors include her husband; one son, David; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by two sons and two sisters. There will be no services, as it was her express wish that there be "none". Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
