Arthur George Beckman, 68, of 1301 S. Fifteenth, died Thursday at 11:50 am in Burlington Hospital where he had been a patient since January.
He was born Feb 11, 1900, in Danville, the son of Wesley and Clara Bernet Beckman, Oct. 4, 1922, he married Ethel Bloom in Burlington. Mr. Beckman farmed in Benton township until five years ago when he became a Watkins Products salesman in Burlington. He belonged to the Lutheran faith; was a past master of the Progress lodge of AF&AM, Mediapolis; and a member of the White Star chapter of OES.
Surviving; the wife; two daughters, Mrs. Melvin Gerling, Winfield, and Mrs. FH Eyre, Burlington; five grandsons; a sister, Mrs. EE Harper, Rochester, Mich., and a nephew.
Services: Sunday 2 pm in Prugh chapel, the Rev. GA Saathoff; Aspen Grove Cemetery, Masonic services will be Saturday at 7:30 pm.
