Richard E. Parrish, 64, of 690 W. Mount Pleasant St., Apt 47, West Burlington, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1995, at his home. Born May 9, 1931, in Kirksville, Mo., he was the son of Cecil and Eathel Darnell Parrish. Mr. Parrish was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a retired electrician for Local Electrical Union 13. He also worked at the IAAP and First Miss. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Local Electrical Union 13 and Washington State Electrical Union 112. He was also a trap shooter. Survivors include his son, Michael Parrish of Burlington; a brother, Kenneth Parrish,also of Burlington, a sister, Norman Kinsley of Wapello; four grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call after 8 a.m. Friday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Parrish will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel with the Rev. David Hoffelt officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
