Mary L. Park, 91, of Burlington, died 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Great River Medical Center.
Born December 26, 1925 in Burlington, she was the daughter of Clarence W. and Stella (Kludy) Schmidt Sr. She married Kenneth Park on September 3, 1950 in Burlington; he died July 29, 1994.
Mary served as Secretary for the Burlington School District for over 20 years. She previously worked for Burlington Trucking, I.O.P (now I.A.A.P) and Winegard Co. She was a graduate of Mediapolis High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, P.E.O. and the Burlington Women's Club.
She enjoyed golfing and playing bridge. She was an avid bowler and loved to travel.
Survivors include two sons; Kirk (Kathy) Park of Wyoming, IA and Dennis (Jennie) Park of Cedar Rapids, IA; five grandchildren, Matthew Park, Taylor Park, Kris Park, Kara Park and Kelli (Daniel) Schaaf; two great grandchildren, Danika and Alyssa Park and one brother Clarence Schmidt Jr. of Milwaukee, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Betty, Edna and Gerry.
The funeral service for Mrs. Park will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 8th at Lunning Chapel. The Rev. David Bracht-Wagner will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
