Harry Becker, 84, Fayetteville, Ark., a former Burlington resident, died at 3:30 pm Monday, April 29, at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home, Fayetteville.
He was born Dec. 1, 1889, in Des Moines County, the son of Henry and Margaret Horn Becker. He married Lillian A Knauss on Nov. 16, 1926. He was a retired Burlington Northern engineer, member of Railroad Veterans, and First Methodist Church, Fayetteville.
Surviving: The wife; one stepson, James Knauss, Redding Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one foster daughter, Mrs. Virginia Adair, Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gesling, Burlington, Mrs. Ada Lemon, New London, and Mrs. Esther Moon,m Mt. Union, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral: 3:30 pm Friday, Prugh’s chapel, Rev. Leroy Moore: Aspen Grove Cemetery. The body will arrive in Burlington late Thursday.
