Earl Clarence Oldham, Jr., 58, of Porterville, Calif., died Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Porterville. Born March 31, 1952, in Burlington, he was the son of Earl and Elizabeth Stephens Oldham, Sr. Mr. Oldham worked 20 years at Charlie's Bar. He graduated from high school and attended college in San Diego. He served in the Navy. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing darts and won many awards for his skill in the sport. He enjoyed other sports, fishing, and music. Survivors include one son, Tyland Oldham of Pamona, Calif.; four daughters, Monique Oldham-Joseph and Sherelle Sapho, both of San Diego, and Ashley and Bethany, both of Porterville; his mother, Elizabeth Robinson of Burlington; his stepfather, Ray Robinson of Burlington; two brothers, Delbert Stephens of Burlington, and Richard Oldham of Topeka, Kan.; one sister, Sharon Parrish of Burlington; one stepsister, Lynn Smith of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; five stepchildren; six step-grandchildren; and ex-wife and special friend, Michelle Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, and his grandmothers. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington. No formal visitation is planned. The funeral services for Mr. Oldham will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Revs. Lawrence Manson and Bobby Lewis officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
