Polly A. Beck, 86, of Prairie Village, Kansas, formerly of Burlington, died at 5:31 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006 in Prairie Village. Born April 15, 1920, in Eldon, she was the daughter of Russell William and Evelyn Beatrice Rogerson. In November of 1948, she married Robert M. Beck in Des Moines. He died June 20, 1990. She grew up in Des Moines and graduated from Lincoln High School. She worked for 25 years at Southeastern Community College. Prior to moving to Prairie Vilage four years ago, she was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Wright of Prairie Village; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Rogerson of Burlington. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother. Rev. Donald Hoornstra will officiate, with inurnment in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Bethany Lutheran Church and Kansas City Hospice.
