Christopher Kim Oaks, 37, of Fort Dodge died Tuesday, July 8, 2008, in Fort Dodge. Born February 3,1971, in Davenport, he was the son of Kim and Sue Wycoff Oaks. On June 15, 2001, he married Joyce Cermack in Burlington. Mr. Oaks worked in a foundry. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, eating out and music. Survivors include his wife of Burlington; one son, Tony Oaks of Eldora; his mother and stepfather, Sue and Lyle Lund of Muscatine; one sister, Jennifer Oaks of the Quad Cities; and grandparents, Barbara Oaks and Casey Oaks, both of Davenport. He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Prugh's Chapel, where family will receive friends from 4 to 6 .m. The funeral for Mr. Oaks will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beatty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.
