Mrs. SJ Beck, 67, 1007 ½ Avenue H, died at 12:35 this morning in Sacred Heart hospital.
Mrs. Beck, nee Bertha L. Brandenberg, was born in Burlington Iowa, November 25, 1869. She came to Fort Madison to make her home 17 years ago.
Mrs. Beck was married to Svenk J. Beck in Burlington, May 4, 1893. She was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical church and of the Women’s Union of that church.
Surviving are her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Earl W. Sodenberg, Fort Madison; one son, George A. Beck, Fort Madison; one brother, Henry Brandenberg, Burlington, Iowa, and six sisters, Ricke, Carrie, and Anna Brandenburg, Burlington, Iowa; Mrs. Clara Yogt and Mrs. Augusta Juell, Burlington, and Mrs. Lillie Ritter, Chicago.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from Clements’ chapel. Rev. Th. C. Berlekamp officiating.
