Mrs. Mildred V. Noel, 89, of West Burlington, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, at 1:20 a.m. at Burlington Care Center. Born April 23, 1922, in Frankford, Missouri, she was the daughter of S. Kennedy and V. Lorena Burroughs Haden. On April 25, 1943, she married Owen Kenneth Noel in Hannibal, Missouri. He died October 4, 1971. Mrs. Noel graduated from New London High School, New London, Missouri. She played basketball, and was an all state guard all four years of high school and was team captain. Mrs. Noel was a Floor Leader at Midwest Biscuit for 35 years, retiring in 1982. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, embroidering, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grand- children. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra K. (DeWayne) Agnew of Burlington; one grandson Brett (Stacey) Agnew of Johnston, Iowa; one granddaughter Dawn (Ben) Gulick of Burlington; five great-grand- children, Sydney, Gage, and Audrey Agnew, and Josh and Owen Gulick; two brothers, Okie (Dorothy) Haden of Burlington, Larry (Rena) Haden of Fairfax Station, Virginia three sisters, Eunice Whitaker of New London, Missouri, Kathryn Morawitz of Center, Missouri, and Jean Marshall of Paris Missouri; one sister-in-law, Juanita Haden of Quincy, Illinois; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Jack and Bobby Haden and David Oscar Haden; and one sister Emma Huff. Friends may call from noon until 8:00 p.m. Monday, November 14th, in Lunning Chapel. The funeral service for Mrs. Noel will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 15th, in Lunning Chapel. Reverend Tyrone Henderson will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service. A memorial has been established for Burlington Care Center.
