Mary Lou Noble, 78, of Burlington, died at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at the Great River Medical Center Hospice House in West Burlington. She was born on December 23, 1929, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Max F. and Alma M. Lampe Jacobs. She married Lyle E. Noble on April 18, 1950, in Galesburg, IL. He died on August 22, 2000. She was a 1948 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. She was of Protestant faith. She retired from Champion Spark Plug after 30 years doing production work. She also worked at General Electric and Texas Instrument. She was a member of UAW 1237. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and loved to do crafts. Survivors include two sisters, JoAnne (Clifford) Brees of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Nancy Gerlemen of Henderson, Nevada; a sister-in-law Evelyn Andrews and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jim and Edna Pratt all of Burlington; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and three brothers, Terry, Larry and Jim. Funeral services for Mary Lou Noble will be held on Friday, September 12, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in Prugh's Chapel. Rev. Dr. Frank Beaty will officiate. No formal visitation is planned. A memorial has
