Pamela Diane Beavers, 60, of Burlington, formerly of New London, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Born Jan. 17, 1945, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Robert and Violet Schemmer Hugg. On Oct. 3, 1964, she married Robert S. Beavers in Burlington. They later divorced. Ms. Beavers worked for Henry County Bank and Firstar in Mount Pleasant for 18 years. She was a graduate of Burlington High School. She also attended flight attendant school in Colorado. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 7641 Women's Auxiliary in New London. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and socializing with friends. Survivors include one son, Douglas Beavers of Burlington; one daughter, Tanya Mahl of Raytown, MO.; four grandchildren; her mother, Violet Cremer, of Galesburg, IL.; one stepbrother, Marvin John Cremer of Princeville, IL.; and one sister Marcia Jean Schneider of Lindon, N.J. She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, John Cremer Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel in New London, where the family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m.The memorial service for Mrs. Beavers will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. Rod Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery at a later date. Her body has been cremated. A memorial has been established.
