Bernice A. Nelson. 78, of Lincolnshire, IL, formerly of Burlington, died Sunday, June 24, 2007, at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born September 17, 1928, in St. Joseph, MO. She married Roy O. J. Nelson. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Nelson lived in Burlington, Mundelein, IL, and Grayslake, IL. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mundelein. She was an avid card player, bowler and member of the Swedish Glee Club of Waukegan, IL. She enjoyed traveling, organizing family events and documenting family history. Survivors include two sons, William and James; one daughter, Mama Sheftic; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Tina Corlett and Marie Miller. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Visitation with family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church. The funeral for Mrs. Nelson will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church, with the Rev. Charles Downing officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Prugh Funeral Service has assisted the family with the arrangements.
