Julia Aleda Neff, 90, of Burlington, died at 10:33 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Great River Medical Center in West Burlington. Born January 23, 1919, in Mora, Minn., she was the daughter of Everett and Minnie Ash Morgan. On January 17, 1939, she married Dwight Stull Neff in Fairfield. He died December 27, 1980. Mrs. Neff was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church. She collected postcards, newspaper clippings, and albums. She enjoyed puzzles, playing Skipbo, feeding birds and squirrels and sewing. Survivors include three daughters, Sharon Wixom, Valerie Neff and Beverly Levitt, all of Burlington; two sons, Jerry Neff and Phillip Neff, both of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, two grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, where the family will receive friends. The funeral for Mrs. Neff will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Langner officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. A memorial has been established.
