Mrs. Hazel Bawman, 88, of 2425 Gnahn, died at 6:55 pm Thursday, April 9, at Elm View Care Center after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 20, 1892, at Burlington she was the daughter of Harry and Kate Senn Sowden. She married Frank Andrew Bawman, Nov. 11, 1911, in Burlington. He died April 27, 1965.
A homemaker, she was a former employee of the Elks Lodge and Crystal Lake Club. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Surviving; Two nieces, Betty Kirchgassner, Burlington, and Mrs. William Fagan, Des Moines.
Funeral; 2 pm Sunday, Prugh’s Chapel, Rev. Mr. GA Saathoff; Aspen Grove Cemetery.
