Mrs. Betty Jane Mundt, 84, of Burlington died at 10:35 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2013, at Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.
Born June 16, 1928 in Burlington, she was the daughter of John Herman and Wilma Catherine Whitney Schulz. On October 16, 1946 she married Walter R. Mundt in Burlington. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1998.
Mrs. Mundt was a graduate of Glendale High School in Glendale, California. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Mundt was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi and Miriam Circle.
Mrs. Mundt dearly loved her family and was the foundation to her family. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, crocheting, reading, playing cards and spending time with her friends - Phyllis Knopp, Dorothy Whitmore, Teresa Sharp, Leona Hoschek and Wilma Groe.
Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Fehrmann of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Janet (Richard) Manning of Ocoee, Florida and Joyce Bennett of Burlington; one son, Gary W. (Kimberly) Mundt of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established for the Great River Medical Center Cancer Clinic.
