Dorothy Nancy Mower, 89, of Germantown, Tennessee, formerly of Burlington, died Friday, August 5, 2005, at her home. Born December 19, 1915, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Henry and Dorothy Steck von Ende. On November 21, 1936, she married Paul Francis Mower in Burlington. He died October 7, 2004. Mrs. Mower worked in sales for J.C. Penney and was a homemaker. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed traveling, horse shows, flower gardening and cooking. Survivors include one son, Steve Mower of Germantown; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Lee Wilke of Burlington; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to the time of service today at Prugh's Chapel. The funeral for Mrs. Mower will be at 1 p.m. today at Prugh's Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Beaty officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
