Alvin Omar Morrow, 92, of Burlington, died Monday, May 17, 1999, at Parkview Care Center in Burlington. Born August 14, 1906, in Unionville, Mo., he was the son of Martin and Ann Barnhouse Morrow. On April 5, 1930, he married Louise Douglas in Shenandoah. She died Januaary 14, 1998. Mr. Morrow lived in Burlington since 1941, and was a retired machinist at the Burlington Northern Railroad West Burlington Shops. He was of the Christian faith, and was a member of the International Association of Machinists. Survivors include two daughters, Beverly Schnellbacher and Frances Bauer, both of Burlington; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, James Morrow and Woodrow Morrow, both of Ottumwa. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his paarents, four sisters, one brother, and one grandson. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. today at Sheagren Funeral Home in Burlington. There will be no family visitation. The graveside funeral for Mr. Morrow will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Keith Selberg officiating.
