Rex Lee Morris, 72, of Burlington, died at 2:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2016, at his residence in Burlington.
Born July 24, 1943, in Burlington, IA, he was the son of Cecil S. and Violet G. Craig Morris.
Rex worked as a carpenter and a handy man and enjoyed fixing things. He retired from Armor Dial Co. after more than a decade of service there. He worked for many years restoring historic homes in the Burlington area. He enjoyed the social gatherings at his home with his family while watching Fox News.
Survivors include two sons, Chad Ward and Michael Sourwine, both of Burlington, IA; two daughters, Amber Sourwine and Liesa Marie Morris, both of Burlington, IA, two brothers, Cecil Allen Morris of West Burlington, IA, and Garry Sumpter of Burlington, IA; two sisters, Sandra Eisenburger of King City, MO, and Nancy Hull of Burlington, IA; two granddaughters, Amiah Thompson and A'rayah Thompson; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three wives, Kim, Kay and Connie.
The funeral service for Mr. Morris will be Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Prugh's Chapel with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Prugh Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
