Obituary
Kevin Tripp, 47, of Burlington, died at 4:00 pm Monday, August 6, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born June 16, 1965, in Keokuk, he was the son of Laverne and Angela Dian Carter Tripp. He married Christina Sherwood, they later divorced. On October 10, 2010, he married Teresa Ann Montz in Ocoee, TN.
Kevin was a carpenter and worked in commercial sales at Lowe's. He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time on the Hiwassee River at the Appalachian Mountains in the Cherokee National Forest. Survivors include his wife, Teresa; two sons, Nathan Tripp and Mason Tripp both of Moberly, MO; two step-daughters, Carrie Brown of Danville, and Milisa Potter of Burlington; his father, Laverne Tripp of Omaha, Ark, and mother, Angie Gutierrez of Decatur, TN; five grandchildren, Reese, Landon, Avery, Temperance, and Jayden; two brothers, Brandon (Tabatha) French of Chattanooga, TN, and Todd Tripp of Winchester TN; and one niece and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
As per Kevin's request cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. The memorial service for Mr. Tripp will be 10:00 am Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Thielen Funeral Home with Chaplain David Plooster officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery.
