Anna Mae Amanda Mohler, 91, of Burlington, died at 10:40 a.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Great River Medical Center. Born April 24, 1916, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Chris and Ella Egbert Miller. On July 19, 1941, she married Robert J. Mohler in Burlington. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1991. Mr. Mohler was a homemaker and loved living on a farm. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking and loved animals. Growing up on a farm, she worked with her father driving a team of horses in the fields. She attended Eureka country school and graduated from Burlington High School. She is a member of the Burlington Seventh Day Adventist Church and a former member of the Danville and West Hill United Methodist Churches. She was active in ladies church circles and in Dorcas (Community Services). Survivors include one son, Larry J. Mohler of rural Danville; two daughters, Pauline (Mike) Brear of rural Burlington and Linda (Gary) Beckman of rural Danville; one grandson, Brock Beckman and two great-grandsons, Dalton and Ryan Beckman all of rural Danville. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. Visitation will be from noon until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 2nd, in Lunning Chapel. The funeral service for Mrs. Mohler will be Thursday, January 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. in Lunning Chapel. Pastor John Howells will officiate. Interment will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service. A memorial has been established for the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
