Florence M. Bawman, 97, of Black River Falls, Wis., formerly of Burlington, died Monday, Jan 8, 1996, at Black River Memorial Hospital.
Born April 27, 1898, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Charles and Mary Reeman Bawman.
She was a 1916 graduate of Burlington High School. She worked for the US government in Washington, DC for several years and later in the shipping yards of San Francisco. She returned to Burlington to care for her aging parents.
In 1974, she moved to the Black River Falls area where she made her home with her sister Ruth Guy. Upon the death of her sister in 1994, she moved to Pine View Terrace and later to the Pine View Nursing Home.
Survivors include a niece, Elaine Koehler of Cataract, Wis.; a nephew, Glenn Guy of Hixton, Wis.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her sister, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 am Thursday at Buswell Funeral Home in Black River Falls, Wis.
The funeral for Miss Bawman will be 11 am Thursday at Buswell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Thomas LaChapelle officiation. Burial will be Monday in Aspen Grove Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles E Evans officiating.
