Mildred Bernice Minster, 85, of Burlington, died at 10:10 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington. Born May 7, 1926, in Wellman, IA, she was the daughter of Alford and Nylla Wilkinson Morgan. On March 18, 1961, she married William John Minster in Burlington. Mildred was a welder at the Kaiser Ship Yards and also worked at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant during World War II. She was a stay at home mom that loved to play with her kids. She loved her boys and loved and worshipped her grandchildren. She liked to fish and go have fun at the Casino. She loved her flowers and her dog, Buddy. Survivors include her husband, William, two sons, Andy (Julie) Minster of Sperry, and Archie Minster of Burlington; three grandchildren, Zachary Minster, Bailey Minster and Brody Minster; nieces and nephews, Paul Morgan, Lauren Morgan and Bruce Morgan, Donny Minster, Julie Barker, Robin Elder and Rita Haynes. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ray Morgan, one sister Viola Wixom and one nephew Jerry Minster. As per Mildred's request cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. The Graveside Committal Service and Inurnment for Mrs. Minster will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 27, 2012, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Reverend Dean Graber officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Hass-Thielen community room following the inurnment.
