Gilbert John Miller, 90, of St. Francis Continuation Care Center. Born Oct. 3, 1905, in Wever, he was the son of Henry G. and Anna F. Gieselman Miller. He married Helen l. Schrader on oct. 24, 1928, in Burlington. She died July 9, 1969. Mr. Miller was a farmer in the Wever and Denmark area. He also worked at Leopold Desk Co., retiring in 1971. He was of the Protestant faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Survivors include two sons, Robert Miller of Des Moines and William Miller of Southaven, Miss.; three daughrers, Betty Wolbers of Burlington, Doris Link of St. Louis, Mo., and Marilyn Watkins of Dennellson; one brother, Henry Miller of Wever; one sister. Dorothy Titus of Burlington; 20 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a daughter, a grandson, a sister and five brothers. Friends may call after noon today in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The funeral for Mr. Miller will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Jewett officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
