Edwin Arthur Binder, 600 Dunham, died at 11:40 am Wednesday at St. Francis hospital, at the age of 69. He had been a hospital patient since July.
Binder was the son of Edward and Elizabeth Voss Binder and was born in Burlington on Oct. 13, 1893. On Oct 21, 1942, he was married to Elsie Ruth Honson near Jefferson City, Mo. He was associated with the Sheagren-Hunt company for many years.
Binder was a member of First Methodist Church; Malta Lodge No. 318, AF&AM; Murad Grotto; United Commercial Travelers; and OX5 Club of Pioneer Aviators.
He is survived by his wife; a son Edward J. Binder, Lynwood, Calif., and two grandchildren. A brother died previously.
Last rites will be at 2:30 on Saturday at the Elliott-Lunning Chapel. The Rev. Norman O. LeLacheur, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible, will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. The Masonic ritual will be performed at the graveside.
